Vehicle Integration Technicians

Want to put your electrical and electronic installation skills to work on military vehicles?

You’ll play a hands-on role in the production build process, installing and integrating equipment through cabling, bracket fitting and power connections. With a focus on precision and safety, you’ll ensure each installation meets the required specifications.

The role involves working inside military vehicles, so you’ll need to be comfortable carrying out practical installation tasks in confined spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Install and route cabling in military vehicles according to wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
• Fit and secure mounting brackets and hardware for equipment installation.
• Connect and terminate power supplies to installed equipment.
• Work inside military vehicles, in confined spaces, to complete installation tasks. The role requires entering and working inside military vehicles, so candidates must be physically fit and in good general health to safely access and work within these environments.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware installation issues using standard tools and equipment.
• Support the production floor with installation, integration, and troubleshooting (I&T) tasks as required.
• Follow all relevant health, safety, and quality procedures during installation work.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed in line with production documentation requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with cable installation, wiring, or electro-mechanical assembly, ideally within an automotive, defence, aerospace, or similar production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
• Basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working within confined and enclosed vehicle spaces.
• Willingness to work flexibly across the production floor to support installation and integration activities.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
