WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Painter to join our team.

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

· Remove rough spots, old paint and imperfections from vehicle panels.

· Sand vehicle surfaces by hand and using power sanders.

· Mask areas that are not to be painted using tape and protective paper.

· Colour match and mix paints to achieve the required paint shade.

· Apply primers and finishing coats using spray guns, sanding between coats.

· Touch up paintwork and polish completed surfaces.

· Remove masking materials and wax and polish finished vehicles.

· Paint signs, artwork and other designs on vehicles.

· Apply rust-proofing chemicals and protective treatments.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare vehicles and work areas before painting.

· Ensure paint, primers and other coatings are mixed and applied correctly.

· Operate spray guns, sanders and other painting equipment safely.

· Inspect completed work and correct any imperfections or paint defects.

· Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas.

· Follow workplace health and safety procedures and manufacturer instructions.

· Complete work within required timeframes while maintaining a consistent standard of finish.

WHAT YOU NEED:

· A relevant trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing Technology or another highly relevant field.

· At least 2 years of vehicle painting experience

· Good attention to detail

· Outstanding customer relations

Salary Expectation: $75,000 to $85,000

Full-time and permanent position.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

• Certificate I - IV (Required)

Experience:

• Auto painting: 2 years (Required)
