Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Refinisher / Panel Technician / MET Technician to join our professional automotive team. This role involves restoring vehicle surfaces to a high-quality finish, repairing panels, and ensuring vehicles meet our stringent standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking prior to refinishing or repair work.
• Apply paint, primer, and other coatings using spray guns or hand tools to achieve a smooth, professional finish.
• Repair or replace damaged panels using appropriate techniques and materials.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently for panel straightening, sanding, grinding, and polishing tasks.
• Conduct heavy lifting of vehicle parts or panels safely to facilitate repairs or refinishing processes.
• Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify areas requiring repair or refinishing and ensure all work meets quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist with the removal and reinstallation of vehicle components as needed during repair procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Refinisher, Panel Technician, or MET Technician within an automotive environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and chisels.
• Experience operating power tools safely and effectively for various refinishing tasks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle panels or parts.
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Relevant qualifications in automotive body repair or refinishing are desirable but not essential.
