Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Refinisher / Panel Technician / MET Technician to join our dedicated team. This role involves restoring and refinishing vehicle surfaces, repairing panels, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive bodywork, utilise various hand and power tools, and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive refinement and repair to develop their skills further. Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for refinishing by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Repair or replace damaged panels using appropriate techniques and materials.
• Apply primers, paints, and clear coats with precision to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Utilise hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and scrapers to carry out repairs effectively.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently during refinishing and panel repair tasks.
• Conduct heavy lifting when handling large or awkward panels or components to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Inspect finished work for quality control, ensuring all repairs meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle bodywork and refinishing processes.
• Proficiency in using hand tools including sanders, scrapers, and chisels.
• Experience with power tools such as grinders, drills, and spray guns is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle panels or equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving flawless finishes.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to automotive repair environments.

Pay: £26,500.00-£48,000.00 per year
