As we look to expand and develop the vehicle sourcing side of Car Seekers, we are looking for 2 Vehicle Sourcing Specialists to join our strong, passionate and ambitious team.

We're looking for people who can help us grow our sourcing network, bring new customers into the business and provide an excellent service to both their own customers and enquiries generated through Car Seekers.

This is an exciting self-employed opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars, confident dealing with people and motivated by the opportunity to generate their own income.

Whether you already have experience within vehicle sales, sourcing or the motor trade, or you're looking for an opportunity to build a career within the industry, we'd like to hear from you.

Although this is a self-employed position, you won't be left to simply go it alone.

You'll have the backing of Car Seekers, access to our premises, systems, sourcing platforms, customer enquiries and existing infrastructure, while having the flexibility to manage your own workload and develop your own customer base.

WHAT IS VEHICLE SOURCING?

Rather than simply selling vehicles already sitting on our forecourt, our sourcing service starts with what the customer actually wants.

A customer may come to us looking for a particular make, model, specification, colour, budget or monthly payment. Your job is to understand their requirements, search the market, identify suitable vehicles and ultimately find them their perfect car.

You'll manage that customer's journey from the initial conversation right through to the vehicle being sourced, prepared and handed over.

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Responding to vehicle sourcing enquiries generated through Car Seekers.
• Developing and generating your own customer base and enquiries.
• Speaking with customers to establish exactly what vehicle they're looking for.
• Understanding their budget, specification and finance requirements.
• Searching the market and sourcing suitable vehicles.
• Presenting vehicle and finance options to customers.
• Negotiating and progressing potential vehicle purchases.
• Maintaining regular communication with customers throughout the process.
• Coordinating the preparation of vehicles once purchased.
• Liaising with our in-house workshop and cosmetic preparation providers.
• Managing the process through to the eventual customer handover.
• Delivering the 5-star customer experience that we expect at Car Seekers.

SOCIAL MEDIA – AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE ROLE

A good, positive and active social media presence is essential for this opportunity.

We want our Vehicle Sourcing Specialists to build their own network of customers alongside handling enquiries generated directly through Car Seekers.

Social media is a major part of achieving this.

You'll be expected to actively and consistently use social media to promote:

• Vehicles you have sourced
• Vehicles available through Car Seekers
• Successful customer handovers
• The Car Seekers vehicle sourcing service
• Yourself as a Vehicle Sourcing Specialist

You don't need thousands of followers or an existing automotive social media account.

What matters is that you're comfortable being active online, engaging with people, promoting what you do and representing both yourself and the Car Seekers brand in a positive and professional way.

If you're somebody who doesn't want to use social media or actively generate their own opportunities, this probably isn't the right role for you.

SELF-EMPLOYED & FLEXIBLE WORKING

This is a self-employed, commission-based position.

Your earnings will be based on the vehicles you successfully sell, meaning your earning potential is uncapped.

The more customers you develop, enquiries you generate and vehicles you successfully source and sell, the greater your earning potential.

You'll also have flexibility in where you work.

You can work:

• From the Car Seekers premises
• From home/remotely
• Or use a combination of both

There is no requirement to work weekends.

Our business does operate at weekends and you may choose to deal with customers or progress opportunities during these times, but weekend working is not compulsory as part of this self-employed opportunity.

WHAT CAR SEEKERS PROVIDES

Although you're self-employed, you'll have access to the infrastructure and resources of an established vehicle sales and sourcing business.

We will provide:

• Access to all required vehicle sourcing and motor trade platforms
• Computer/laptop
• Office telephone
• Your own office/workspace at our premises
• Access to Car Seekers-generated sourcing enquiries
• Access to our established vehicle sourcing network
• Access to our in-house workshop
• Access to our vehicle cosmetic preparation network
• Training on our systems, processes and sourcing procedures
• Support from the existing Car Seekers team
• An established brand and business to operate alongside

You'll therefore have the freedom and earning potential associated with being self-employed, without having to build all of the infrastructure required to source and sell vehicles yourself.

A successful Vehicle Sourcing Specialist will:

• Be self-motivated and driven to earn
• Be confident speaking with customers by telephone, email, text and social media
• Have a positive and active social media presence
• Be willing to actively promote themselves and generate their own business
• Have a good foundation of vehicle knowledge or a genuine passion and willingness to learn
• Be enthusiastic and passionate about cars
• Be confident, approachable and professional
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Be organised and capable of managing their own customers and workload
• Be comfortable working independently
• Also work well alongside the wider Car Seekers team
• Be flexible and adaptable within a fast-paced motor trade environment
• Take pride in providing customers with a genuine 5-star experience

Previous experience within vehicle sales, vehicle sourcing, automotive finance or the wider motor trade would be advantageous, but it isn't essential for the right person.

DRIVING LICENCE

As the role may involve driving vehicles and being added to our motor trade insurance, applicants must hold a:

FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE WITH NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS

Relevant driving licence and insurance eligibility checks will be completed before an individual is permitted to drive vehicles on behalf of Car Seekers.
