Vehicle Technician

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Light Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop.

The ideal candidate will be confident carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and general maintenance across a range of vehicles, including timing belt replacement and clutches. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on light vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out brake, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs
• Complete routine inspections and vehicle checks
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
• Take customer bookings and enquiries in a friendly and professional manner, and produce invoices, from time to time.

About You

• Qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Technician
• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical skills
• Able to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Full UK driving licence essential
• MOT Tester status would be a significant advantage, but is not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £37,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

Experience:

• motor trade: 3 years (required)
• MOT Tester: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Full UK Manual Drivers Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
