Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Location: Bristol
Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per annum
Hours: 8-5pm Monday to Friday with optional weekends
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our busy and friendly workshop.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing repairs to a high standard
• Brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts/chains and general mechanical work
• Vehicle inspections and fault finding
• Preparing vehicles for MOTs
• Using diagnostic equipment where required
• Accurately recording work carried out
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
• Be confident carrying out servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
• Have a good understanding of modern vehicle systems
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have an NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent automotive qualification – preferred but not essential depending on experience
• MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage but is not essential
