Position: Vehicle Technician

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum OTE (Salary + Uncapped Bonus)

Hours: 40 /week 08:30-17:00 MON-FRI *NO WEEKENDS!

Location: Richmond Totton (Suzuki & MG), SO40 3AD

We are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our busy MG aftersales team at our dealership in Totton, where you’ll be working alongside a very strong existing team of dedicated and knowledgeable staff in a fully equipped workshop.

As our Vehicle Technician, you'll be:

• Carrying out routine servicing, scheduled maintenance and manufacturer-recommended repairs.
• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing engines, braking systems, steering, suspension, transmissions and other vehicle systems.
• Repairing, replacing and rebuilding mechanical and electrical components, including major assemblies such as engines and gearboxes.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding techniques.
• Carrying out system testing, interpreting fault codes and completing Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs).
• Preparing vehicles to manufacturer and DVSA standards, including MOT preparation, pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and used vehicle inspections.

Ideally, you are:

• A proven Vehicle Technician with at least 2 years exposure working within a similar Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, or MOT Tester role.
• Level 3 Qualified (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent is essential)
• Level 2 or 3 Electric/Hybrid Qualified (desirable, not essential).
• Experienced in diagnostics and fault-finding.
