Our client is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their independent Bosch Car Service centre. You’ll find a well-equipped workshop, varied work and a supportive team that values your experience, judgement and pride in doing the job properly.

And when Friday’s finished, so is your working week. No Saturday rota.

The work

From routine servicing to tracking down a challenging fault, you’ll use your skills across a varied workload. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles.
• Diagnosing mechanical and vehicle system faults using diagnostic equipment and your own technical knowledge.
• Completing brake, suspension, exhaust and other mechanical repairs.
• Carrying out inspections and clearly identifying any additional work required.
• Explaining technical findings and repair requirements to the service team.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, workshop safety and housekeeping.

You’ll work on petrol and diesel vehicles, as well as hybrid and electric vehicles where appropriately trained.

What you’ll bring

You’re an experienced technician who enjoys solving problems, works well with others and takes pride in getting repairs right.

You’ll need:

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic.
• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical fault-finding skills.
• The ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
• A reliable approach and commitment to quality workmanship.
• A full UK driving licence.

An MOT Tester qualification would be welcome, but isn’t essential. We’re also keen to hear from experienced technicians who want to develop their diagnostic expertise or work towards becoming an MOT Tester.
