Vehicle Technician

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, and suspension work
• Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and replacements
• Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure issues have been resolved effectively
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed in accordance with company standards
• Assist with the ordering of parts and materials required for repairs
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all activities
• Assist colleagues with complex repair tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment

Experience

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within an automotive workshop or garage
• Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair work
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
• Previous experience working with diagnostic equipment is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work execution

Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
