Claremont Motor Engineers is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Vehicle Technician / Improver Mechanic to join our busy independent garage in Welling.

You don't need to be a fully experienced mechanic to apply.

If you've got around 2–3 years' workshop experience and are confident carrying out servicing, brakes, suspension and routine mechanical repairs, we'd like to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on cars, takes pride in their work and wants to develop into a more experienced technician.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
• Replacing brake pads, discs and other braking components
• Carrying out suspension and steering repairs
• Completing vehicle inspections and general mechanical repairs
• Identifying faults and reporting additional work required
• Assisting experienced technicians with more complex repairs
• Keeping your working area clean, tidy and safe

What we're looking for

• Ideally 2–3 years' experience working in a garage or workshop
• Confident carrying out servicing, brakes and routine repairs independently
• Some knowledge of vehicle fault finding
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Full UK driving licence

A Level 3 qualification or MOT testing licence is not essential.
