About Us

West End Cars is the official Suzuki franchise dealership in Dundee. We're a busy, well-established workshop with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service — and we're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our growing service team.

The Role

We need a skilled, reliable technician who can carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and MOT testing to a consistently high standard. You'll be working alongside a supportive team in a well-equipped, franchised workshop, with a steady flow of work and genuine opportunities to develop.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of vehicles
• Perform MOT testing (MOT Tester qualification required or working towards)
• Diagnose faults accurately and efficiently using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
• Complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs) and identify additional work where appropriate
• Maintain accurate job records and communicate clearly with the Service Advisor team
• Work safely and in line with dealership and manufacturer standards
• Take pride in delivering right-first-time work and a high standard of customer care

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Current MOT Tester qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Proven experience in a main dealer or fast-fit/independent workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• A full, clean UK driving licence
• A positive, team-focused attitude and a strong work ethic
• Suzuki brand experience is an advantage but not essential — full manufacturer training provided
