Vehicle Testing & Validation Engineer

About the Role

Responsible for vehicle road testing and validation in Thailand, including test planning, vehicle and equipment coordination, data collection, issue analysis, and test reporting to support vehicle development for local market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate vehicle road test and local adaptability test plans based on project requirements.
• Coordinate test vehicles, testing equipment, manpower, vehicle registration, insurance, and other resources to ensure timely test execution.
• Conduct and manage on-road vehicle testing under local road, traffic, climate, and environmental conditions.
• Operate automotive testing and data acquisition equipment such as PBOX, CAN data loggers, temperature data loggers, and related tools.
• Monitor vehicle performance and operating conditions throughout testing and conduct preliminary investigation of abnormalities or technical issues.
• Coordinate with local technical teams and China HQ to analyze, follow up, and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Collect, analyze, and evaluate test data and prepare comprehensive test reports, including findings, issue lists, and improvement recommendations.
• Monitor Thailand market regulations, technical standards, road conditions, charging infrastructure, and other local factors relevant to vehicle development.
• Develop localized testing procedures, operating manuals, and training materials, and support capability development for local testing teams.
• Provide regular project progress and test result updates to Group Headquarters in China.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Vehicle Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle testing, vehicle validation, road testing, automotive testing, or a related field is preferred.
• Good understanding of complete vehicle road testing processes, test procedures, and automotive validation methods.
• Experience using vehicle testing and data acquisition equipment such as PBOX, CAN data loggers, temperature data loggers, or similar tools.
• Able to perform preliminary analysis and troubleshooting of vehicle issues identified during testing.
• Good data analysis and technical report writing skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with local teams and China HQ.
• Able to work independently in field-testing environments and travel as required.
• Good command of English with the ability to use English in a professional working environment.
• Valid driver's license with strong driving skills is required.
