Job description

GB Woodfield is looking for a Vehicle Valeter / Detailer to prepare our used vans for sale and help keep our rental fleet looking its best. You’ll be responsible for presenting vehicles to a high standard for advertising photographs, customer viewings and handovers.

This is a practical role at our Elland site. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the details and can manage their workload alongside our sales, rental and workshop teams.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean and finish vehicle exteriors, including wheels, door shuts and load areas.
• Deep clean vehicle interiors, including seats, carpets, dashboards and glass.
• Machine polish paintwork where needed to improve vehicle presentation.
• Remove old stickers, signwriting and vinyl graphics, including adhesive residue.
• Prepare vans for photographs, viewings, sales handovers and rental bookings.
• Spot and report damage, missing parts or issues that need workshop attention.
• Move vehicles around the site safely when required.
• Keep the wash area, tools and cleaning products organised and tidy.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in vehicle valeting or detailing.
• Confidence using a machine polisher and removing vehicle graphics without damaging paintwork.
• A strong eye for detail and pride in producing a consistent finish.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• A reliable, practical approach and good communication skills.
• A full UK driving licence.

Experience preparing commercial vehicles for sale would be an advantage.
