Vendor Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Must have good vendor base at Bhosari & nearby MIDC
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for fabricated and machined parts along with Plating, Painting, Powder coating and hardening
• Manage existing vendors to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery
• Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations
• Drive cost reduction initiatives including Zero-Based Costing (ZBC)
• Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, quality) for vendor alignment
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
• Handle RFQs, negotiations, and supplier development activities

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 49 years of experience in vendor development / sourcing
• Strong knowledge of fabrication and machining processes
• Experience in supplier audits, vendor evaluation, and development
• Proficiency in Zero-Based Costing (ZBC) and cost analysis
• Good negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
