Venture Capital Analyst

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of prospective startups, including valuation modeling and scenario planning
• Assist in sourcing new investment opportunities through market research, industry trend analysis, and networking
• Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations to support decision-making processes
• Collaborate with portfolio companies to monitor financial performance and strategic initiatives
• Support due diligence efforts by reviewing business plans, financial statements, and legal documents
• Track industry developments, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies relevant to investment targets
• Participate in meetings with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and internal stakeholders to evaluate potential deals

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in financial planning with experience analyzing financial statements and creating valuation models
• Knowledge of financial services industry trends and practices is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights
• Effective communicator capable of presenting findings confidently to diverse audiences
• Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging markets
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
• Prior internship or experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking or related fields is preferred

Pay: £61,000.00 per year
