About Framework Island
Framework Island builds knowledge infrastructure for the AI era.
We’re not building traditional companies and adding AI on top. We build AI-native companies from the ground up.
Our work runs on two sides:
- The Studio builds, operates and helps manage AI-native companies alongside co-founders. We take equity in select ventures and look for businesses with proprietary data advantages and recurring revenue. Framework Island currently holds equity in five ventures.
- Groundwork is our AI implementation agency. It helps existing companies build the operational infrastructure they need to work in the AI era.
Our first Studio company, Skywolf, launched in December 2023. It reached a seven-figure annual revenue run rate within about 2.5 years, with 1.8% annual customer churn.
Framework Island is led by founder and CEO Adi, who previously grew and exited OpenFlow, a HubSpot Elite partner agency, before turning his focus to AI.
The Role
We’re looking for a highly analytical, entrepreneurial intern to work directly with our founder on venture creation, investment analysis and portfolio strategy.
You’ll help evaluate new ideas, structure new companies and prepare them to grow, using AI tools as a core part of how you research, model and build.
What You’ll Work On
- Venture strategy: develop business plans, investment theses and go-to-market strategies for new AI-native ventures.
- Financial modeling: build revenue forecasts, P&L models, unit economics, valuation scenarios and capitalization plans.
- Pitch decks: create investor presentations, strategic proposals and fundraising materials.
- Market research: conduct market sizing, competitive analysis, industry research and opportunity assessments.
- Equity and cap tables: model founder equity splits, stock options, vesting schedules, dilution, SAFEs and future funding rounds.
- Investment and deal analysis: support due diligence, deal structuring, partnership evaluations and investment memos.
- Portfolio operations: track portfolio performance, prepare investor updates, maintain dashboards and support strategic initiatives.
- Fundraising support: organize investor materials, financial projections, data rooms and prospective investor research.
Who We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an MBA or a master’s in finance, economics, entrepreneurship or a related field. Exceptional undergraduates are welcome.
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and Canva/PowerPoint/Google Slides.
- Demonstrated financial modeling and analytical research skills.
- An understanding of startup financing, venture capital, equity structures and business models.
- Excellent writing, presentation design and communication skills.
- Comfortable using AI tools for research, financial analysis and productivity, and curious about where they can take you next.
- Highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently.
Bonus: experience with startups, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, corporate development, Carta or cap table modeling.
Why Framework Island?
This isn’t an internship spent taking meeting notes.
You’ll see how companies are built and invested in from the inside: evaluating ideas, structuring ownership, and preparing ventures for growth and fundraising.
You’ll work directly with our founder, contribute to real decisions, and see how an AI-native venture studio operates across multiple companies and industries.
How to Apply
Send your resume and a short introduction explaining your interest in venture building. Include an example of a financial model, investment memo, pitch deck or market analysis you’ve worked on.
