Venue Manager

We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing hospitality professional to lead one of our intimate, premium dining spaces as Venue Manager.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager or Supervisor ready to take the next step into full venue management. Managing an intimate space allows you to take true operational ownership—overseeing bespoke dining, driving exclusive events, and making a tangible impact—with clear pathways for career progression across the wider Azabu Group.

The Role

You will take full ownership of the front-of-house operations, delivering refined, personalised guest experiences while managing the day-to-day commercials of the space. Alongside daily service, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing tailored private events and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
• Develop and review SOPs to enhance the guest experience and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and product storage.
• Recruit, train, and lead a motivated team, fostering a culture of service excellence.
• Manage staff rosters, ensuring efficient service while controlling labour costs.
• Supervise service, resolve staff or guest issues, and handle feedback professionally.
• Maintain quality control in food, beverage, cleanliness, and ambiance.
• Collaborate with the kitchen on menu standards and new dishes.
• Monitor financial performance, assist in budgeting, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate events with reservations and guest relations teams.
• Stay informed on industry trends to keep the restaurant competitive and innovative.

About You

You are an experienced leader who understands the nuance of premium Japanese hospitality. You are calm under pressure and possess a sharp eye for detail.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a senior Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, or junior Manager within a hatted restaurant, luxury dining room, or premium bistro.
• Strong communication skills with the drive, maturity, and confidence to lead a team and run a floor independently.
• Experience with or a strong interest in coordinating private dining, functions, and curated events.
• Solid grounding in beverage and food service; WSET or Japanese beverage certifications are highly regarded, though not mandatory.
• Proactive, commercially aware, calm under pressure, and dedicated to elevated guest experiences.
• Available to work a rotating hospitality roster including evenings and weekends.
