Venue Manager

About the role

As Venue Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of Lucas Hotel and work closely with supervisors and department leaders to ensure the venue operates efficiently and to a high standard. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will bring together the Kitchen, Dining Room, Bar, Functions, Events and Golf Simulators, ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers receive an exceptional experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Kitchen, Dining Room, Bar, Function Rooms and Golf Simulators
• Lead and support supervisors and hospitality staff
• Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time
• Mentor, coach and develop team members
• Manage staffing levels and respond to changing business needs
• Monitor stock levels, ordering and wastage
• Coordinate and oversee functions, events and busy service periods
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer issues when required
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service
• Work closely with the Head Chef and supervisors to ensure all areas of the venue work together

About you

• Previous experience in hospitality management or venue management
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Experience preparing staff rosters and managing staffing requirements
• Good understanding of hospitality stock control and ordering
• Ability to manage multiple areas of a venue at the same time
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Positive, practical and can-do attitude
• Ability to mentor and develop supervisors and staff
• Strong customer service skills
• Confidence to make decisions and take ownership
