We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Venue Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our busy music venue.

This is a hands-on management position suited to someone with strong hospitality experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, late-night environment and understands the demands of running a venue where live music, customer experience and bar operations come together.

The Role

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful running of the venue, leading the team and ensuring consistently high operational standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day operation of the venue
• Recruiting, training, developing and motivating the team
• Managing staff rotas and labour costs
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Overseeing bar operations, stock control and cash management
• Ensuring the venue is ready and operating to a high standard for live music and events
• Working closely with performers, promoters and other relevant parties
• Ensuring licensing objectives and company procedures are followed
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety, security and cleanliness
• Managing busy evening, weekend and late-night trading
• Resolving customer and operational issues professionally
• Driving sales while effectively controlling costs
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the venue

About You

Applicants must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar management role.

You should also have:

• Proven experience managing a busy hospitality, bar, entertainment or live music venue
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A good understanding of stock, wage and cost controls
• The ability to remain calm and make decisions in a busy environment
• A hands-on management style and high standards
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late nights

Experience within a live music or entertainment-led venue would be particularly advantageous.
