Venue Manager

About the role

An experienced Venue Manager role for one of Sydney's top 100 gaming venues, part of the Universal Hotels group. This is a gaming-heavy, high-volume venue and requires someone who can run it with total confidence across every part of the operation — floor, bar, gaming and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations across extended trading hours
• Lead a large gaming floor, including TAB and Keno operations
• Ensure full compliance with gaming, liquor licensing and RSA/RSG obligations
• Roster, manage, train and support performance across a sizeable team
• Manage budgets, labour costs and P&L performance
• Build strong relationships with the local Fairfield community and regulars
• Handle cash management, EOD reconciliation and reporting
• Work closely with the Universal Hotels support team to drive venue performance

About you

• Proven experience as a Venue Manager or senior gaming manager in a high-volume venue
• Strong, hands-on experience across gaming, TAB and Keno operations
• Current RSA and RSG certification (NSW)
• Genuine understanding of, and connection to, the Fairfield local area
• Confident leader who thrives managing a team across a demanding roster
• Comfortable working late nights and extended trading hours
• Strong financial acumen — budgets, cost control, reporting
