Verification And Validation Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Drive Software Verification & Validation (V&V) activities across cloud services, edge applications, and software platforms.
• Create test strategies, test plans, test cases, verification protocols, and test reports.
• Perform manual, exploratory, integration, system, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using C#/.NET or TypeScript/JavaScript with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Perform API and backend service testing and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Review requirements, architecture, and user stories for completeness, consistency, and testability.
• Maintain requirements traceability from requirements and risk controls through test cases, results, and defects using Jama Connect/Jira/Azure DevOps.
• Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) and test coverage reports.
• Log, analyze, track, retest, and close defects; perform regression impact analysis and root-cause investigation.
• Support Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), release validation, phase-gate reviews, and release readiness assessments.
• Prepare verification evidence, test results, quality reports, and release documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Ensure testing activities follow applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 6+ years of experience in Software Testing, Software Quality Engineering, or Software Verification & Validation.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation and software testing methodologies.
• Strong programming/scripting experience in C#/.NET or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Strong experience in API/REST API testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and E2E testing.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and risk-based testing.
• Experience with Jama Connect, Jira, or Azure DevOps, particularly requirements/test traceability.
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, and Windows.
• Experience with requirements traceability, RTM, defect management, and test documentation.
• Candidates with experience in Healthcare, Medical Devices, MedTech, or other regulated software environments will be preferred.
• Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA/MDR is an advantage.
• Exposure to cloud, distributed systems, edge applications, cybersecurity testing, or containers is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
