sommnights delivers private, in-home wine tasting experiences led by Verified Wine Guides. Founded in New York in 2019 by sommelier Abby Cifarelli, we've grown into a national network of wine professionals hosting experiences for birthday, bachelorette parties, date nights, corporate events and holiday gatherings. We focus on thoughtful hospitality, approachable wine education and creating memorable moments around the table.

The Role

We're seeking experienced wine professionals to join our network as Verified Wine Guides, leading private experiences for clients in their homes, rentals and event spaces. This is a flexible make-your-own-schedule role, ideal for sommeliers, wine educators and hospitality pros who love sharing wine with people.

What You'll Do:

• Lead private, guided wine tastings (typically [60-90] minutes) for groups of [4-24] guests.
• Guide guests through a curated line up, sharing the regions, grapes, stories and food pairings behind each glass
• Handle set up, creating a polished welcoming experience
• Design your own tastings around the wines and regions you're passionate about, tailoring each line up to your client's preferences
• Share the stories, grapes and food pairings behind each glass
• Represent the sommnights brand with warmth, professionalism and a non-intimidating approach to wine

Location is flexible as sommnights is building a national network. That said, we are actively looking to expand in the below major cities & surrounding suburbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ accredited wine certification or equivalent professional experience (e.g. WSET, CMS, CSW or equivalent)
• Strong hospitality, communication, and guest-engagement skills
• Comfort leading small to mid-size groups in private settings
• Evening and weekend availability (Flexible Make-Your-Own Schedule)
• Reliable transportation within your local market
• Based in the United States
• Must be 21+

Compensation

• Pay per experience
