Job Description:

We are seeking a talented 3 and or 5 axis Vertical CNC Set Up / Machinist with experience in Mastercam to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC machines both 3 and 5 axis to produce precision parts and instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining techniques, with a solid understanding of technical drawings and blueprints. MasterCam programming of 3 axis parts is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate vertical CNC milling machines to perform machining operations such as drilling, milling, surfacing, and tapping.
• Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to complete job tasks efficiently and according to specifications.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and adherence to production standards.
• Conduct first-article and in-process inspections using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining problems to maintain production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in 3 or 5 axis machining
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience with MasterCam software.
