What they need

Sales Manager, Hungary

Beck & Pollitzer is the world’s leading provider of industrial installation and machine relocation services. We deliver an unrivalled range of services to all clients, both locally and internationally. We are passionate about our customers and the work we do for them. Therefore, we pride ourselves in consistently delivering excellence, no matter how complex the project.

Role overview

As Sales Manager for Hungary, you'll drive sales growth with a portfolio of blue-chip industrial customers spanning sectors from automotive and aerospace to packaging and FMCG. You'll execute the country's sales approach, growing existing partnerships and opening new business opportunities, while coordinating sales activity, from first customer contact through quotation to contract, to hit commercial targets across the country.

The Hungarian business is part of our established Central Europe region, itself part of a global operation of 1,000 people across 26 offices in 16 countries, headquartered in the UK. This is a field-based role: you'll be at customer sites across Hungary building relationships face to face, based out of our main local office in Székesfehérvár.

Main responsibilities

  • Define and execute the country sales strategy in alignment with global commercial objectives.
  • Deliver sales and revenue targets by growing existing accounts and securing new customers and business opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new installation, factory establishment, machinery relocation and other industrial projects.
  • Own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and qualification through quotation, negotiation, contract award and project handover.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, key decision-makers and relevant industry partners.
  • Organise and conduct customer visits, presentations, trade fairs and other business development activities.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurate CRM data and reliable sales forecasts.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate quotations and tenders with Engineering, Estimating, Finance, Contracts and other relevant functions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer investment plans to identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports and performance updates against agreed targets and budgets.
  • Share customer and market insights with the wider international sales organisation and align local activities with global initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes, tools and customer experience.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience within an industrial or engineering environment, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Higher education degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Strong commercial understanding, including pricing, costing and risk assessment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Estimating, Contracts, Marketing and other commercial teams.
  • Strong customer focus with a strategic and commercially minded approach.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills across different functions and organisational levels.
  • Confident user of CRM, sales and commercial tools.
  • Fluent Hungarian and professional working proficiency in English.

Desirable

  • Experience in machinery relocation, installation or related industrial services.
  • Experience in a project-led industrial engineering or installation business.

Benefits

  • Responsible and long-term cooperation in a nationally and internationally successful corporate group
  • A position with a high degree of co-determination and personal responsibility
  • Above-average pay and bonus system
  • Pleasant working environment in a highly motivated and experienced team
  • Good individual development opportunities
  • Company events and extracurricular activities
  • Private Health Insurance

In this highly varied and creative working environment, you will experience collaborative teamwork and mutual respect. For us, providing you with optimal working conditions is a matter of course.
