Vessel Accoutant

Summary of Position:

Directly responsible for ascertaining that all aspects of the vessel accountings are looked after and being attended to efficiently. Also, endeavours that sufficient funds are in hand for effecting payment of bills and ensures that all requirements of the owners pertaining to accounting are fulfilled.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for preparing accounts and maintaining books.
• Handle correspondence with Masters, agents, ship suppliers, radio traffic accounting authorities in matters pertaining to accounting as applicable.
• To ensure monthly statement of accounts as well as monthly and quarterly reports as required by different Owners.
• To analyse assets and liability accounts in vessel trial balances.
• Supervision of receipt and booking of disbursements and remittance of monthly operating expenses of Crewing Managers.
• To execute wire transfer to suppliers.
• To coordinate with vessel agents in various ports for arranging cash advance to Master.
• To prepare and send reports on budget variance periodically to Owners and Management for information and cost control.
• To prepare monthly statement of accounts for owners for funding.

Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,000.00 per month
