What they need
- Clinical Care: Taking and recording vital signs (pulse, temperature, respiration), administering medication, dressing wounds, and placing catheters.
- Diagnostics: Performing lab tests such as urinalysis and skin scrapings, taking radiographs, and operating diagnostic tools (ECGs).
- Surgical Support: Preparing surgical rooms and instruments, sterilising tools, and assisting veterinarians during surgery.
- Patient Husbandry: Feeding, and monitoring hospitalised animals.
- Client Communication: Advising pet owners on nutrition, hygiene, and care guidelines.
- Administrative Work: Maintaining detailed medical records, answering phones, and managing inventory.
