Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health during procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
• Assist with the restraint of animals for examinations and treatments.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with veterinary practices.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program is preferred.
• Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician is desirable.
• Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is a plus.
• Proficient in laboratory skills and procedures related to veterinary medicine.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.
