Veterinarian

About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role based in Perak, Malaysia. The Veterinarian will perform clinical examinations, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans for small animals and other species as appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform surgeries and minor procedures
• Administer vaccinations
• Prescribe medications
• Monitor patient progress
• Communicate clearly with pet caregivers about diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and follow-up plans
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff
• Participate in case discussions
• Uphold clinic protocols for infection control, safety, and animal welfare

About you

• Malaysian
• Possession of a recognized veterinary degree (e.g., DVM or equivalent) and eligibility for registration to practice veterinary medicine in Malaysia
• Strong clinical skills in physical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive medicine for small animals
• Competence in routine soft-tissue surgery and dental procedures, with a commitment to safe anesthesia and pain management
• Ability to use diagnostic tools such as laboratory tests, imaging, and other clinic equipment to support evidence-based decisions
• Clear, empathetic communication skills for interacting with pet caregivers and collaborating with veterinary team members
• Organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records, managing caseloads, and following clinic protocols
• Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare, ethical practice, and continuous professional development
