One of our valued team members is heading off into the wide world for the classic kiwi OE

(overseas experience), meaning we have a vacancy for a new veterinarian early next year.

Onewa Road Veterinary Hospital is located in Birkenhead, a lovely suburb on Auckland’s North Shore.

The clinic is equipped with all the state of the art equipment and facilities (and fabulously talented techs and nurses) you will need to practice at an aspirational level. We encourage special interests, CPD and personal development. We take pride in mentoring our staff and providing an environment where you will always be fully supported.

Our team currently comprises 2 receptionists, 6 techs and nurses, 2 part time vets (one of whom is our office manager) and 4 full time (or almost full time) vets. Our tech and nurses are highly skilled and are able to facilitate many procedures and keep the hospital and surgery running smoothly. Our receptionists keep things purring at the front of house and the clients happy!

We organise the vets’ days into various 8 hour shifts, with breaks and time for paperwork. Saturday mornings are on a shared basis, currently 1 in 5.

We are looking for a special person to join our team. The position is full time, but we are also happy to hear from vets interested in part time or fixed term.
