Veterinarian (Stay-In)

Responsibilities

• Oversee farm biosecurity, pig health, and welfare across contract-growing farms.
• Develop and implement disease prevention, vaccination, and treatment programs.
• Conduct farm audits to ensure biosecurity, animal welfare, and operational continuity.
• Diagnose diseases and abnormal conditions, and recommend appropriate treatments.
• Analyze disease trends and outbreaks to establish preventive measures.
• Lead outbreak investigations and implement control and containment actions.
• Manage disease surveillance, sampling, reporting, and BAI compliance requirements.
• Provide technical training and guidance to farm personnel and growers.
• Ensure proper use and inventory of veterinary medicines and vaccines.
• Maintain veterinary and production records and prepare health reports.
• Coordinate with laboratories, government agencies, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Support decisions that improve productivity, animal welfare, and profitability.
• Monitor mortality and morbidity rates and analyze health-related data.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate with a valid PRC Veterinary License.
• 2-3 years of experience in commercial swine production, preferably in contract-growing operations.
• Strong knowledge of swine health, biosecurity, production management, and ASF prevention.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a 4-wheel vehicle.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Ability to prepare reports, conduct cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and interpret financial metrics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and people management abilities.
• Capable of supervising teams, enforcing company policies, and driving performance.
