Duties

• Assist veterinarians with animal examinations and treatments
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for various species including dogs and cats
• Manage front desk responsibilities including client communication, appointment scheduling, and record keeping
• Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies and ensure cleanliness of treatment areas to uphold high standards of animal welfare

Qualifications

• Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred
• Demonstrated animal handling skills across different species with confidence in dog handling and animal restraint techniques
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic surgical procedures such as medication administration and record keeping
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
• Passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in veterinary medicine

Pay: $18.00 - $28.30 per hour
