We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your expertise in animal husbandry, restraint, and veterinary terminology will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. As a Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with both animals and their owners, contributing to a positive experience for all.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
• Provide basic care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
• Prepare animals for surgery by administering pre-operative medications and monitoring vital signs.
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ health and treatment plans.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
• Support the team with administrative tasks as required.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary practices is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately in various situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
