Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries by restraining animals and preparing necessary equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms, kennels, and surgical areas to uphold the highest standards of hygiene.
• Provide basic animal care such as feeding, bathing, and administering medications under supervision.
• Monitor animal behavior and health status, alerting staff to any concerns or changes.
• Support client communication by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing reassurance to pet owners.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
• Document treatment details accurately in patient records to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Skills

• Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable to assist with diagnostic procedures and sample handling.
• Strong animal handling skills with patience, compassion, and confidence in restraining various species.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support the team as needed.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for animal care and medical procedures.

Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour
