Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary

Do you love PEOPLE AND PETS? Our new veterinary clinic is looking for someone who is experienced with dogs and cats to join our team! You will work side by side with the veterinarians to ensure our furry patients get the medical care they need efficiently, while the human clients receive excellent customer care.

Here are some details about this position:

We are located in South Etobicoke.

Hours will include some evenings and weekends, but you will always have at least 2 consecutive days off per week.

This is an active role where you’ll be on your feet a lot. Checking patients in, preparing medications, and helping to hold pets are the primary tasks, but you’ll also do a lot of cleaning, emailing, and phone communication.

Starting salary is $18/hour.

Training on our software and animal care will be provided, though animal handling experience is preferred!

While previous experience working in a veterinary clinic will be considered a valuable asset, we are looking for an individual with proven and excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.

You will be part of a small team, but you will receive a lot of support from those of us who have been in the industry for a long time.
