Marlboro Village Veterinary Hospital (MVVH) is a privately owned, full-service veterinary hospital seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our growing team!

Our hospital offers traditional and preventive veterinary medicine for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, along with specialized services including Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, Acupuncture, Surgery, Dentistry, Overnight Boarding, and Doggie Daycare at our second location, The Bark Park of Aberdeen.

Position Responsibilities

Depending on experience and skill level, responsibilities may include:

• Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Providing compassionate care to hospitalized patients.
• Assisting with blood draws, laboratory testing, and diagnostic procedures.
• Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with surgical and dental procedures.
• Monitoring and caring for patients before and after procedures.
• Administering medications and treatments under veterinary supervision.
• Providing care for boarding and daycare pets, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and monitoring.
• Educating clients and communicating professionally with pet owners.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
• Supporting fellow team members wherever needed.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary hospital or animal care experience preferred.
• Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and animal handling skills.
• Compassionate, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with our team.

Schedule Requirements: Applicants must be available to work at both our Marlboro and Aberdeen locations. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
