Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Veterinary Assistant to work closely with our veterinarian and support day-to-day patient care.

No veterinary experience is required. We are willing to train AND CERTIFY the right person. More than experience, we are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, dependable, willing to learn, and takes their responsibilities seriously.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the veterinarian during patient care
• Assist with handling and restraining dogs and cats
• Prepare patients and treatment areas
• Assist with veterinary procedures as directed and permitted
• Clean and maintain treatment and work areas
• Prepare supplies and equipment
• Maintain accurate and organized patient information
• Help keep the veterinarian’s daily schedule running efficiently
• Perform other veterinary assistant duties as trained and assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Reliability, punctuality, and dependability are extremely important
• No previous veterinary experience required
• Willingness to learn and be trained
• Comfortable working with dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments
• Able to safely lift and carry at least 50 lbs
• Able to remain on your feet and active throughout the workday
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional and respectful attitude
• Able to follow instructions and work closely with a veterinarian and team

Schedule

30–40 hours per week

Approximately 3–4 days per week
