What You'll Bring to the Team

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
• Provide animal restraint and support during treatments
• Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas
• Provide excellent customer service at the front desk, including scheduling appointments and answering client inquiries
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit
• Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and health maintenance

Is This You?

• At least two years of experience working as a veterinary assistant
• Currently enrolled in veterinary technician program is a plus
• Solid understanding of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology and husbandry practices
• Skilled and confident in safe animal handling
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures is valued
• Strong surgical assisting skills, including patient preparation, maintaining sterility, and providing hands-on support to the surgical team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills for building positive client interactions and supporting team collaboration
• Experience as a Client Service Representative or willingness to be cross-trained in both clinical and front-office duties is highly preferred
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and Chinese, including Mandarin and Cantonese, are a plus
• Work schedules may vary based on the practice's needs, and occasional additional hours may be required to ensure responsibilities are completed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
