Veterinary Assistant

NOW HIRING — VETERINARY TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT!

Westside Veterinary Hospital | Marietta, GA Pay: $15–$20 per hour, based on experience and skill level Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person!

Westside Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned small-animal practice looking for dependable, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join our veterinary team. We are looking for both experienced veterinary technicians and individuals who are interested in learning and growing in veterinary medicine.

What you'll be doing:- Assisting veterinarians during wellness and sick-patient appointments- Obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and documenting medical information- Educating clients about heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, vaccines, and recommended diagnostics- Assisting with in-house laboratory testing, including bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, and ear/skin cytology- Learning to use our Zoetis Imagyst diagnostic system- Caring for and monitoring drop-off patients- Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats- Communicating with clients and supporting patient care throughout the day

What we're looking for:- A genuine passion for animal care- Dependability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude- Good communication and customer-service skills- Willingness to learn and follow hospital protocols- Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary environment- Previous veterinary experience is a plus, but not required.
