About This Position

We expect that as an experienced veterinary assistant you have basic patient care skills and understand the day-to-day requirements of seeing and treating patients. In addition to those duties, you’ll be successful in this position if you:

• Are client and patient-focused
• Have maturity and accountability as personal traits
• Enjoy handling and soothing animals during examinations, treatments and vaccinations
• Know how to record relevant information about animals, including weight and types of medication given
• Are ready to be part of something great!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a veterinary environment strongly preferred
• A passion for animals and for providing great customer service
• Strong interpersonal, computer literacy and communication skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• The ability to work evening shifts and a rotating Saturday is required. (We are open Mon-Thurs 8 am-8 pm, Fridays 8 am-6 pm and Saturdays 8 am-4 pm.)
• Able to work on your feet and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Pay Range: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
