Responsibilities and Duties

• Demonstrate strong communication skills in multiple formats
• Excel at safe and effective restraint
• Collect patient samples (e.g. urine, blood, stool)
• Prepare medications for administration accurately
• Assist in performing radiology
• Assist in all aspects of in-house laboratory and cytology
• Create and maintain thorough and accurate medical records
• Cleaning and maintenance of kennels, general boarding areas, bowls, and kitchen
• Feeding, walking, and watering pets
• Observe and report well-being of boarding patients
• Chart feeding, medication administration, and eliminations
• Monitoring for any abnormalities
• Keeping track of pets’ belongings
• Bathing pets, expressing anal glands, cleaning ears, and trimming nails
• Electronic recordkeeping
• Maintaining cleanliness of clinic
• Maintaining outside walking area
• Treating clients and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
• Work in a fast paced environment
• Assisting other coworkers and performing other duties as needed

Physical Requirements

• Lift patients and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
• Lift patients and carry equipment over 50 pounds with a partner
• Adequate stamina for a busy work day with lots of standing and walking
• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
