Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring safety and comfort for all animals.
• Handle animal restraint during examinations, diagnostics, and treatments using proper techniques to minimize stress and injury.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and veterinary protocols.
• Support kennel management by cleaning, feeding, monitoring, and caring for hospitalized or boarding animals to promote their well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of animal treatments, medication administration, laboratory tests, and patient progress in compliance with clinic standards.

Experience

• Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background demonstrating familiarity with caring for various species.
• Experience working as a veterinary technician or assistant in a clinical setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and basic laboratory procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role.
• Hands-on experience with animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and aseptic procedures is essential.
• Familiarity with pet care routines including feeding, grooming, and behavioral management contributes to comprehensive animal handling skills.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
