Veterinary Assistant cum Receptionist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Veterinary Assistant cum Receptionist to join our vibrant veterinary team. Duties

• Greet clients warmly, manage appointment scheduling, and handle all front desk communications efficiently
• Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and care during examinations and procedures
• Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as IV insertion, medication administration, and catheterization
• Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by disinfecting kennels, treatment areas, and equipment following aseptic techniques and PPE protocols
• Handle pet care duties including feeding, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior and welfare
• Record detailed patient information, treatment notes, medication logs, and update medical records accurately
• Assist in surgical preparation and post-operative care under supervision, ensuring adherence to veterinary terminology and safety standards

Qualifications

• Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly desirable but not required. Training will be provided
• Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog/cat handling
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques
• Experience with record keeping, medication administration, and basic surgery support
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet care needs and treatment plans
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, and pet behavior management
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
