Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
• Collect and update patient information in the computer system
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks
• Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and their pets

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  -Veterinary office experience is an asset
• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in computer systems and software applications

Skills:

• Laboratory: Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment used in a veterinary clinic setting. This may include sample collection, handling, and processing.
