Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our veterinary team. This role involves providing exceptional care to our animal patients while delivering friendly and efficient service to clients. Duties

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure
• Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, procedures, and filling prescriptions as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and client communication efficiently
• Provide basic animal restraint and care under supervision
• Handle phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide information to clients professionally
• Ensure the safety and well-being of animals in the clinic at all times
• Support team members with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Must be dependable, have a strong work ethic, be motivated, and a driven individual to succeed in this role

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
• Dependability and strong work ethic are essential qualities for success in this role
• Motivated and driven individual with a positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of animal handling and care is advantageous but not mandatory
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
