Job Overview
As a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist, you’ll help keep clinic visits organized, support veterinary care, and make clients and their pets feel welcome. You’ll balance front desk responsibilities with hands-on animal care, working closely with the veterinary team in a busy clinical setting. Veterinary clinic or veterinary experience is a must.
Duties
- Welcome clients, schedule appointments, manage records, and provide clear client communication and veterinary administrative support using veterinary software.
- Assist Veterinarian and technicians with companion animal medicine.
- Handle, restrain, and care for animals; support kennel routines, animal husbandry, and safe pet care.
Skills
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, and front desk skills; comfort with animal handling, dog handling, and animal restraint.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy; ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Veterinary clinic experience
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 30.0 per week
