VETERINARY ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST

We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated person to join our team as Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and treatments
• Monitor and care for in-patients (post-op and hospitalized pets)
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
• Perform diagnostic procedures (e.g., blood tests, x-rays)
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic and equipment
• Maintain accurate patient records and stock inventory
• Contacting clients to confirm appointments
• Updating clients about pricing or scheduling processes
• Ensuring pet and client records are up-to-date
• Accepting and posting payments
• Communicating between staff, clients and vendors
• Providing backup with pet handling during visits
• Cleaning or organizing front office areas

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Veterinary Nursing/Animal Health or related field, SPM Holders are also encouraged to apply if got experience.
• Strong interest in animal care and veterinary medicine
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work weekends and/or public holidays
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Preferred (but not required):

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic setting
• Familiarity with animal restraint and basic surgical prep
