Veterinary Kennel Assistant/Janitor

We are looking for a kennel assistant to join our family and we will make it easy for you to put us at the top of your list.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning cages and providing fresh bedding and water to patients.
• Doing laundry.
• Washing dishes for patient use.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all areas of the hospital.
• Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises and communal areas.
• Stocking treatment areas with medical equipment and supplies.
• Cleaning, wrapping, and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• And more!

Job Requirements

• Able to work independently and without supervision
• Has an upbeat and outgoing personality with ability to work with a variety of personalities
• Enjoys working with people and able to effectively communicate with clients in person, over the phone and electronically
• Ability to follow low stress handling techniques
• High attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task
• Flexible schedule including weekend, evening and holiday hours
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift 40#
• Reliable transportation
• Ok with cleaning for up to 70% of their shift

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
