Furs & Paws Veterinary Clinic is looking for a caring, responsible, and passionate Veterinary Nurse/Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team in Ipoh, Perak.

Job Responsibilities

As part of our veterinary team, you will assist with the daily operations of the clinic, including:

• Assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Preparing and cleaning surgical instruments and treatment areas
• Monitoring pets before, during, and after procedures
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments under the veterinarian's guidance
• Helping with basic laboratory work and diagnostic procedures
• Providing nursing care for hospitalized cats and dogs, including feeding, cleaning, and ensuring they are comfortable
• Handling and restraining pets safely and gently during examinations and treatments
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Explaining medications, home care, and aftercare instructions to pet owners
• Keeping the clinic clean, organized, and hygienic
• Assisting with stock checking and ordering supplies when needed
• Promoting responsible pet ownership and preventive healthcare

• Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn
• Able to work well in a team and communicate professionally with clients
• Able to stay organized and work in a busy clinic environment
• Comfortable standing for long periods and performing hands-on tasks

No prior experience is required. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Candidates with previous experience in a veterinary clinic will have an added advantage but are not required.
