Veterinary Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Veterinary Pharmacy Technician to support our veterinary pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy technology, with specific experience in veterinary and clinical settings. As a Veterinary Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications for animal patients, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while delivering exceptional patient service. Your skills in pharmacy procedures, medication compounding, and patient care will contribute significantly to our patients' health and well-being.

Duties

• Prepare, label, and process prescriptions and refills
• Communicate with clients, veterinarians, staff, and outside pharmacies
• Maintain accurate prescription documentation
• Stock and organize medications and monitor inventory
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy workspace
• Follow established pharmacy and medication-handling protocols

Qualifications

• Veterinary hospital experience preferred, but not required
• Pharmacy or medication-handling experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good computer and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and team-oriented

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
